I would be returning back to work after 6 weeks or so. i wanted to pump my milk while at work for my baby but i work in a restaurant. how would i go about doing this? if i tried to pump while at work could my boss legally be able to tell me im not allowed? will me pumping at work be beneficial in my milk supply and for my baby.thx for everyone who answers my questions

  1. Your boss legally has to let you go and pump some milk for your child. You would have to talk to them about a private space to go to do this.

It will be a lot easier to. Because if you start to breast feed and then go a certain amount of time your b***s get extremely sore.

  2. your boss has to allow you to pump, they may not like it. i have known a woman who worked at pizza hut and she just went and pumped as she needed. talk to your boss, breastmilk is the best

  3. I think they have to legally give you a few breaks so you can pump. I'm not sure though.

  4. Your boss legally has to provide you with breaks, and you can use those breaks to pump. They cannot prohibit you from pumping at work, and they should be providing you with a private space to do so if at all possible.
