  1. if you are a good dancer you are a good dancer and if it doesnt affect your dancing then why should anyone care?

  2. Not at all, unless they want a certain "look" like NYCB like short torso and LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG legs.

  3. ok, im not going to fluff it up and say "looks dont matter" or "they'll love you for who you are". I have 10 years of dance expierence and i have been to many auditions, and judges do sometimes make their final selsctions based on body type, who would fit the costume best, or it might be a uniform issue (trying to keep everyone looking the same). But this is not to say that it is all based on that. I have seen many peopel who do not have the "ideal" body nail auditions. My advice is to try your best and love what you do, because if the Judges see that you'll get it!

    Hope this helps

  4. if your a good dancer, than it shouldn't affect anything. They won't judge you on how you look (but they may not pick someone thats over-weight, because it could affect their health).

    Good luck at auditions!

  5. it depends what companys/youth ballets you're auditioning for. some are stricter than others and wouldn't like that your torso is so long. others won't care and look at talent and body last.

  6. nah

they won't care as long as you don't try to make your torso smaller by standing crooked.  Just keep your back straight and don't seem to concious of it or they'll think your shy.
