'It Happened to Nancy' by an Anonymous Teenager

It's another sad one but it's great. It's about a teenage girl who gets infected with HIV, the book is basically her diary which her mother and father had published after she died.

if you like that book he wrote a few others about his life.  and if you want true stories read the torey hayden books - they're fantastic.  shes a teacher who teaches really disabled kids or kids with serious psychological problems but they are so interesting and amazing they make you want to get a job in the field!!!!!!

yea that's a great book .a brothers journey is his brothers story that's also a great book.Other good books someone to watch over me... just a boy... our little secret...please daddy no... behind closed doors( that's the best and even more shocking than a child called it) ...shame ....ungly .... Betrayed...and the little prisoner ...and when daddy comes home. there all in the same kind of line

If you liked Child Called It, there are others in that series, about Dave growing up. The Lost Boy is next, then a Man Named Dave.

Try First Person Plural too. Its about a man with Dissociative Identity Disorder, or multiple personalities.

'A Piece of Cake' by Cupcake Brown is excellent. Portrays her from when she is very young and her mum dies, through her life in foster care, leading on to an alcohol and drug addiction
