okay so i had a field hockey clinic (practice) today and the reason why there are clinics are for u to prepare for tryouts

....now id say that im pretty good at field hockey but im not amazing

...but today we had a mini scrimage.....and i really played horribly...the coaches looked dissapointed with me...and at the end...one of the coaches told me that i really have to get it together if i want to make the jv team

.....and i feel really bad and i was upset becuz even playing field hockey for the past 2 years....i shouldnt be playing this bad....and im ashamed that i played like i did today...the coaches made so many foul calls on me...even during 1 of the scrimages were i played with some middle skoolers who have no experience in da game....and im not saying that im mad at the coaches becuz i know that there just tryin to help me become a better player

....how do i get this feeling out of my head???

please give me some advice

  1. Everyone has an occasional off day; we are all human. Don't dwell on your mistakes. Just resolve to yourself to do better and go back out there play the game. Don't over try to excel as this only cause you to flub.

  2. just try harder next time... today wasn't ur day.. but just look for tomorrow... if u keep on thinking about how u didn't give ur best 2day.. and let it stay there in ur future games... u will never give 100% of ur full talents... if u wanna get better u must learn from ur mistake and try not 2 make them again... so use ur mistakes 2 learn from them and try not to make them again.. but aim for playing better tomorrow u can do it!!

  3. i used to play field hockey when i moved to NY but listen every athlete has a bad day. take how you feel inside and prove it to them tomm that your good and surprise every1!

i dont know how many times i would suck at bball practice but i never gave up and now im on a full ride playing in college... dont worry about it

  4. find a new sport to F**K up....

  5. Its okay everyone has bad days, I played basketball for 9 years and averaged 14 pts a game and in one the playoff games in my junior year i made one basket and got 4 fouls and sat out the rest of the game with 25 mins left. It happens. just tell the coach you had "just one of those days" and make it up in tryouts. good luck

  6. Maybe you should go to the Canadian Section.
