  1. Acoustic Guitar is like Classical Guitar in that it is all about TECHNIQUE.  You can play ANY kinds of songs on an Acoustic guitar... CLASSICAL guitar is the TYPE of guitar... it's not necessarily the TYPE OF MUSIC YOU PLAY ON IT.  When I'm playing on stage I use both Classical AND Acoustic guitars and I can use an Acoustic guitar to play an old Madrigal song OR a Classical guitar to play some John Mayer song..

I don't know where you people get the idea that a CLASSICAL guitar is for playing classical music.

If you don't know THAT subtile difference... then you need some more lessons.

  2. yeah im 15 and im just starting guitar too. u have like 60 yrs of life left and that is plenty of time to play guitar

if u stick to it ull get good

  3. Keep practicing! You will see vast improvements in no time at all! Keep it up and you'll become a great guitarist later on.

Regarding the teacher, you will benefit from learning techniques from as many genres as possible if you really love the instrument. Try to learn as much as you can. Classical music is technically challenging, and you might just find playing other styles of music easier afterwards.
