im an eighth grade girl, and i run for middle school and high school. at the middle school meets i'll run maybe a 67-70 second 400, but at the high school meets i'll run a 64-67. how can i become more consistent? is this because there is no one to push me in the middle school meets?

  1. yes having someone to run with makes running easier

you have to remember, running is half mental

  2. yes i would say you have it runnign with peopel that are harder to beat makes you push harder definatly

  3. Yeah probebly. Just keep thinking 2 urself that u can do this even when ur running.

Just pretend ur at the middle school. It will work . Trust me.

    Good Luck

  4. Yeah, I would say that is what it is.. Maybe you know that you have to give more at the high school meet because the competition is better. You have to figure out how you can run the best race and just do it all the times you run the four. I would always sprint the first hundred then go down to about 80% on the back stretch then go to about 90% on the 3rd 100 and then sprint like there is no tomorrow on the last hundred and I consitantly put out a 50-52 when I was in high school.
