ok so i tan really well. i can sit in the sun for 5 minutes and see a big difference in my skin. but my face just does not tan. it looks weird because my back is a totally different color than my face. and i don't wear face makeup so that cant be the reason. your probably thinking that my face is paper white and the rest of my body black, but its not that bad really. its not too bad but i would like to have an even skin tone all over my body.

is there a reason for that???

is there a product that can be used to even out my skin tone??

should i just wear a bunch of clothes and sit out to tan my face haha??

anything you know just tell me please!

also, i tried aveeno skin cream and cleanser that was supposed to even out my skin but it just dried my skin and i tried other stuff to so im thinking that skin products just arent working for me. thanks <3

  1. put a bit of lemon jucice on your face and lay in the sun for about 5 minutes and itll be tan b sure not be out there too long or ur face might sunburn

  2. there is a reason for that. when you go into the sun, your skin absorbs the uv rays coming off of the sun, that causes your skin to tan. but don't worry, if you don't go into the sun that much and wear sunscreen, if you do, your skin cells that absorbed the uv rays will die and fall off, and you'll be lighter again. try one of the skin moisturizers that is meant to tan your face. next time you go into the sun, i recommend that you wear some really strong spf sunscreen so you don't get any darker.

  3. You wash your face more then any other spot on your body (excluding hands) so thats one reason. the constant washing and stripping of the dead skin cells (i,e exfoliation) removes the build up of skin ony our face (i.e your tan).

Do you wear a moisturizer that has an spf? Some dont even tell you they have an spf but they do!

Is your face dry? if it is, your face will not be able to tan. Dry skin deflects the sun. You want the sun the ABSORB into your skin in order to activate and change the melanin cells to brown, therefore your skin must be MOIST to absorb the light.

Also, your body has the least amount of oil (not like your face) therefore stays darker longer. Moisturizing your face twice a day after cleansing will help maintain the life of your tan.

To get darker, EXFOLIATE PRIOR TO SUN EXPOSURE!! This removes the build up of dead skin (which blocks UV light) and can not tan through it, if you remove it once a week (yes it will make you pale until you tan again) it will give you a more even and deeper tan. The deeper it is the longer it lasts and richer it looks. Also, use a nice moisturizer and expose your face (no spf since you dont tend to burn easily) Otherwise your cleanser could be SO strong its stripping your facial skin (which will eventually cause impurities and premature aging). A tanning salon usually comes equipped with facial units (just facials, not beds with facials) and you can do 5 minutes in that to match up your face.

Otherwise look into tinted moisturizers (not self tanners!!! these are too dark and look orange/str4eak) but tinted moiturizers build color up over time giving a healthy glow.

  4. Dont worry if your face isnt getting as sun damaged as your body-less wrinkles later on in life.....try a face bronzing powder(Arbonne) or get to a salon and have your face airbrushed to look tan

  5. you can buy sun tanner lotion(drug stores, shoppers, londo drugs-really cheap but good quality)

thats works in like 5 mins it soaks up but dont use too much, liek what i do b4 i go to the beach or something i have the lotion adn mix with moisturizer so i get both and it ads shimmer to ur face adn body, very cute,, i dont knwo what else you could try,,,

    neways i hope i helped =]
