  1. There isn't a whole lot you can do endurance wise to get ready for this race but you can get ready in other ways. If I were you I would go for a really hard run today or tomorrow. Than as the week goes on just taper off. The day before the race I would go out and do an easy 20 minute run followed by a marvelous chicken pasta diner (protein to help your muscles and carbs to give you energy) than I would sit in a nice warm tub and just soak and relax in the water. Also this week if at all possible especially on thursday and Friday try doing a run the same time of day that the race is going to be at that way your body will be semi used to running at the time of the day. Best of luck at your race.

  2. Sorry, but in one week there is not that much you can do. at this point you should be doing shorter runs and resting your legs. For your next race start training and doing endurance 2 or three months before the race. And if your training for a 5 km race, you might want to run a 6km distance before the race to get your legs ready and prevent injuries. good luck with your race!

  3. Lets see...In one week, there isn't a ton you can really do, unfortunately.  Do some core work, for one thing.  Check out the course, and get an idea of markers you could use for distance or where you are in the race.  Be sure that you don't have very long runs the 2 days prior to the race.  Be sure to stretch every day, as it will help a lot.  Ice if you need to.
