  1. He put up a good fight. I watch the games on MS online site, and you see the players between where commercials would be.  They really zoomed in on that gash of a blister. It was nasty!  And I felt so bad, he tossed his racquet in his bag in a sort of dejected type motion. He knew it would be tough for him to fight back and win, but he still tried.

He didn't quit, and especially didn't quit during an important match. ;-)

  2. i felt the same way.. he's my fave since i first entered the tennis world... its very hard too adjust especially he lost in THE SECOND ROUND without winning a set and ITS ON CLAY... also if you have very high expectations on him like me...

    thing we can do is..

think that its over.. you cannot do anything to rredo it.. just see the future.. pray for nadal winning the hamburg and french and cure his blister... that is the thing you can do.. he never give up on that fight... so,thats it.. the only way you can do..

hope he wins the next tour hamburg especially french open or else .. he will lose many many points.. and drop the rankings  so pray.. pray.. pray.. thats what i do..

  3. It's only one match.  You can't expect Rafa to win them all.  He'll bounce back at the French Open.  Relax and have a drink :)

  4. well juan carlos on clay is no muck about, remember! he too has won RG and countless other clay titles. and he has been having a rather strong season compared with previous years. i am not completely shocked, really.

  5. It feels miserable when you're favorite loses. Come on over and have some sushi with me.  I just ordered some from a japanese thai restaurant and I can just tell him to bring more!

You're so cute, you'lll be back in good spirits again soon!

  6. Rafa looked stunned today.  He is still the best clay court player on the mens tour right now.  When the French comes around, look for him to walk away with another trophy.

  7. Cheer yourself up  by knowing that the King of Clay will play, and play well another day.  And he may have lost this tournament, but he is still a true Champion with a great deal of class.  Unlike some quitters.

  8. Just think..now he has a week off to fully recover, then its back to business!.  and also think that in a way this loss was good for him.. can you imagine if he continued playing for the next two weeks? He would be exhausted physically and mentally for the French

So dont worry! next week im sure he'll win Hamburg, take a week off and win his 4th French!

  9. nadal lost but he didnt quit lik sum overrated players (djocivic) thts good but i think he not gonna win french open its federers time this year even tho he sucked so far

  10. I was a little sad at first 2 but look on the bright side at least he gets to take a break! Jeez he sure needs it! He'll be back stronger than ever next week in Hamburg..:-)

Did you read his interview after the match?

  11. Poor guy, he has been playing so much, he needs rest, this is his opportunity.

  12. Turn that frown, upside down. He'll be back on his feet in no time, getting ready for the French Open.

  13. Do not despair! He will be well rested now with a week off. He looked tired going into it. You can cheer yourself up by watching him beat Federer in any other clay court match! I am sure he will be back in winning ways soon; many of the seeds of Rome have been knocked out early like Nalbandian and Gasguet.
