  1. In movies ghosts can do things to people. In real life ghosts have no ability to affect people unless they actively decide to do what the ghost wants them to do. Ghosts have no physical body that can affect you in any way. That is what ticks them off, they have no way to affect anything here. It is because you WANT them to be able to do something that is the problem. Just because you want them to be able to do something does not change the fact that they cannot do anything and never will be able to do anything to you.

  2. Ambien and Xanax work wonders though both may only be obtained by prescription.  The former will put you to sleep quicker than you can say Jack White but unfortunately will not do a thing for your paranoia.  The latter will not only make you sleep but will put you into such a state of euphoria that you won't even care when the boogeyman emerges from your closet and eats you up.

  3. Stop watching scary movies especially in the nights, throw out all your bad thoughts. Take some herbal tea so that you get good sleep. Herbal tea's are really good.

  4. eh, dont worry dude.  It happens to everyone, all you gotta do is relax, and just think that your a tough guy.  and if that doesnt work just play a piano or go walk with friends just to calm your mind and think of those types of things

  5. THAT HAPPENS TO ME ALOT!

I REALLY REALLY NEED TO STOP WATCHING SCARY MOVIES!

I ASK MY SISTER TO SLEEP IN MY ROOM SO I'M NOT AS SCARED

I'M 14 TOO SO YOU DON'T SOUND STUPID!

SOMETIMES I TRY TO GO TO BED EARLY

SO EVERYONE IN MY HOUSE IS WOKE

SO I'M NOT AS SCARED! =]

  6. stop watching the scary movies, and focus on something positive, start watching comedy. that should make you feel better, also start Reading your bible and ask god for guidance. because you need to get your proper sleep. so good luck and god bless you.

  7. That sounds exactly like me. I'm 14 too and I swear my house is haunted. I don't get to sleep until 3, 4 or sometimes five in the morning because as soon as i turn the lights off my mind flashes to ghosts and stuff. I guess my reason is because my room used to be my uncle's and he died like 4 years ago, so i swear he's still here. Which is really creepy. But just don't worry about it. Nothing's going to hurt you, especially not in your room.

  8. aww ss hun.. this is what i do for my son... he loves scary movies, but was having nightmares after watching them.. so what i do and have done for many years now is right after we watch the movie or we come home from the theaters.. i turn on his tv in his bedroom and i put it on cartoons. not the cartoon network adult ca ca..  i mean like s****. doo or smurf  it is called the boomerang  channel.. this way well he is watching it he don't think about what he saw just a few hours early er he is thinking about the cartoon that is on the tv... it took a couple of days for him to get use to it but now he hasn't had a bad nightmare... i some times do that my self if the movie is to scare lol .. i fall asleep with the cartoon channel on.. lol but it works i don't dream bad.

  9. Hi

Have you ever seen a ghost? What do you think they will do to you if you see one in your room?  Have you ever been attacked by one?

Chances are you are just afraid of the unknown and it's perfectly normal to have those fears. Especially at your age.

The only real way to over come the fear is to face it head on. Even if it was real.  Or just a remembrance of what you have seen in movies.

I've lived in alot of houses that were 'haunted'.  And it's really no big deal.  Interesting, to say the least.  The last house I lived in, it was just plain annoying.  The ghost, which was a woman, would open all the drawers in the kitchen. We had put new cabinets in, remodeled, you know, and she was just totally fascinated by 'her' new kitchen.  I would sit at the table, watching tv, and she would go,opening one drawer after another...now that was really freaky at first. Then I just got use to her and I'd go along behind her closing the drawers. When I'd be cooking, and she didn't like what I was cooking, then my stirring spoon, or spatula would go flying across the room! Crazy stuff!

Try thinking about things that make you feel good when you are trying to go to sleep.  In your mind play a video game, or what things you like to do.

After all, if there is something there, evidently you have more power over it because you are alive.  All you have to think is or say is "Leave Me Alone"  Believe me, I've had my share of doing that! It does work!

It is ok. Let the fear go.  And if you have to, sleep with the light on!  But, there's nothing that is going to harm you, that you are creating in your mind. Take good care of you, and keep your mind from wondering off in those scarey places!

    Katie

  10. You shouldnt think about too much because I was like that too when I was little. I always had to have someone be with me all the time. >< Even to go toilet T_T But then I started to ignore it and not think about it. Just think about it as spirits of people. Thats what i do. Or maybe when you go to sleep listen to some music to help make you sleepy. Basically....just dont think ghosts LOL

  11. I honestly think the only thing you can do is pray to God. Im serious! Ghosts are real but if you pray to God to take those things off your mind he'll do it. Try it!

  12. Some tips to try and help you go to sleep, never watch scary movies just before bed, if you do watch a scary movie watch it in the afternoon at lunch time or something. Also, have a night light on in the room, this may help your insecurity by showing you that there's nothing creeping up on you in the dark. Go to bed early at around 8 or 9 each night, get your body used to going to bed early then it'll go to sleep earlier. Also, drink plenty of water and eat healthy throughout the day, and make sure you get 30 minutes to an hour of rigorous exercise each day, this could include going for a jog, to the gym, or something. Being well hydrated, healthy and having plenty of exercise will make it easier for your body to fall asleep. Many people have difficulty falling asleep because they haven't done any exercise during the day, their body still has too much energy in it. Another thing to try is put some soothing and soft classical music on to go to sleep to, it'll cover up all the night noises in the house and will help calm you down. Hope this helps, I wouldn't resort to sleeping pills or drugs because they're just a short term solution and aren't really fixing the problem, plus there's always risks involved with those things. Hope this helps and remember, there are people out there who can help such as councilors and psychiatrists. So don't hesitate to get some help if you think you need it. Good luck.

  13. I'm kinda like that. I like to watch horror movies but then it makes me all paranoid. You could try taking an OTC sleep aid but be careful cause it can be dangerous. I would try Valerian root.
