Im scared for our friendship?

because me and my best friend have been friends since the begining of 7th grade and were really close and tomorrow we will be starting our first days of 8th grade and this is the last time we will be going to school together because they split up the school for high school. im scared were gonna grow apart like all my other friendships did because i suddenly tend to "become not coo enoughl for people" or just randomly slowly grow apart and im scaredddd. and shes scared to i can tell
