Im scared i wont make friends easily at a sleepaway camp

i am thinking of going to sleepaway camp next summer. (i know, its early.)

im 13, i have never gone.

im just afraid that most ppl have made friends already at camp, if they have gone there for a while.

i was then thinking of going to a specialized sports camp, people dont usually go to the same ones year after year, ya know?

i have got suggestions like;; tell a friend to come with, but i want to meet new people, im just afraid they wont open up to me.

what should i do?

you should take a friend with you, just in case.

you dont have to stick with him/her, though.

maybe you'll even meet some boys!

all you have to do is act mature. i know what you mean by the whole friends thing. i'm 14 and i hate like the first days of school at a new school and stuff, but camps sound fun. just be mature & someone's bound to like you! :) good luck girl!
