1. I am the exact same way at other parks. Personally, I've never been to Cedar Point, but all the coasters there are supposed to be incredible. Now, all you have to do, is relax, don't worry about being scared, and just have fun. Plus, you could start with the the smaller coasters such as The Cedar Creek Mine Ride and Blue Streak, then work your way up to rides such as Iron Dragon or Gemini, then you could ride the coasters like Raptor and Mantis, and finally, finish it off with Maverick, Millenium Force, and Top Thrill Dragster.*

    *Hope I Helped =]

  2. I'm not sure how to get rid of your fear, but I think you will have fun if you go on! If you don't, it will ruin your day and you'll regret it. After the first roller coaster, you should be comfortable enough to go on anything. You just need to push yourself to do it, it'll pay off in the end. [=

  3. face your fears just do it.

  4. You know that you want to, so just concentrate on that, take a deep, steadying breath and go for it. You'll love it once you get going. As for wanting to pee yourself.......Panty liners?

  5. Lol, go pee before you ride the rides. I used to love the look and complexity of roller coasters. I would play roller coaster tycoon 3 all the time. I was obsessed with roller coasters, but the most intense coaster i went on was probably space mountain. LOL! I was afraid to go on roller coasters, but somehow, i still loved them. One day a couple years ago, I went to Six Flags over Georgia with my dad. I saw Goliath, and said i would not go on that. The first thing we did was ride the Georgia cyclone (a wooden coaster), I was soooo nervous. After it was done.....I loved it! Next was Great American Scream Machine (the original wooden coaster). I was not afraid for that one. I liked it a lot. Next, we did the mind bender (in the Gotham city section of the park). 2 loops pretty scared for that one also, but it was great. Then, we got off and my dad told me we should go on Batman. I was hesitant, but I said okay. I was supremely scared as we went up the lift. As every other ride, when it was done, i said it was awesome. After that, i rode every coaster in the park. You see, all you have to do is just ride the ride, and don't back out. Now, i will ride every roller coaster that doesn't hurt lol. I am going to cedar point monday! Can't Wait!

  6. concentrait.Take a min. and think about it if you think you can handle it go on and if you don't think your ready don't go on.But remember fear can not kill you.so if you end up going on and you flip out just close your eyes and wait for it to be over.

  7. I was fine until I was buckled in on Millennium my first time, I looked at the steepness of the hill, and it really hit me how high we were going.. the tallest coaster I'd been on before that was the Vortex at Kings Island. I was so scared I was shaking and my palms were sweating, but I made myself stay on and ride it. I ran right back to the queue and rode it again. Now it's my favorite coaster.. in fact, I was at CP yesterday and rode it 9 times.

If it helps, there isn't just one restraint, there are two on Dragster and Millennium. There is a seatbelt that pulls very tightly and a lap bar that goes down very tightly, you can't fit a piece of paper between you and the restraints when they are all the way down. The ride ops come around and yank on every seatbelt and push down on every lap bar as far as they will go. They will not give the "clear" or the thumbs up until they are positive that everyone is safe.

The restraints on Millennium and Dragster are exactly the same.

Here's what to look for when Dragster launches: First you will hear a loud hiss and see the magnets go down on the track, and you will feel the train move slightly backward. About 2 seconds later you will launch.

Try to watch the looks on people's faces as the ride is ending, on both MF and TTD. Almost 100% of people are laughing, smiling, and clapping.

Try to remember how safe these rides really are.. the size is intimidating, I know, but trust me these coasters are an experience you don't want to miss. I wish I could be there to help you when you go.

  8. It's not that scary at all. I saw my friend go on it and then I was like I am so going on this now. It's fun.
