to tell my my i just got my period. what should i do?

Really it is best to tell your mother, even if you're not that close she'll know what to do better than anyone else.

If you do not feel comfortable talking to your mom you could always talk to another "of age" female in your life. Just make sure you're comfortable.

Don't be scared to tell your mom. She went through the same thing. She would probably feel glad you came to her first. Mom's want to be a part of their daughters lives and share these types of secrets. Your  mom is probably a wonderful lady who would love to help you. Give her the chance.

You could tell your friend who has a period in order to get some pads. But you should tell your mom. If you feel uncomfortable, ask to talk in private then not to say anything.

you're lucky! i needed help right away and she was the only one who could help me. i had mine out at dinner (first day of spring break!!)

i'd just say like mom i have to tell you something. i got my period. and she'll probably be happy! my mom was!

I just started my first period not to long ago and was asking how to tell my mom and i was soooo scaared but after i told her it rally wasnt that bad.  You could email her or send her a note or just tell her.  And id also tell her not to tell anyone else cause my mom told EVERYONE!lol.   hope i helped.xoxo

You need to tell your mom, if you don't, she might get mad that you didn't tell her. You should always treat your mom as your best friend as your mom is a girl, she wouldn't laugh about it. She'll surely be happy to see her daughter growing up. (: Don't be scared, just tell her, "Mom, I just got my period." with a smiling face. :P Don't worry about it, she won't get mad or anything. Don't feel shy either. (:

you need to tell your mom there is nothing to be scared of! having your period is a natural thing it is your bodys way of cleaning its self out! your just getting more mature welcome to women hood
