Im setting up a enviroment for crickets for my school project. can i have details on diet and enviroment?

we are testing the diffrent temp and diet. i just want to know what would be the best set up to grow them and diet. for diet i have read that dried cat food and milk work. so im going to put protien with one a calcium with others. would this work? and what should i put in the tank for the crickets to live in?

  1. They need a water source they can't drown in (a wet sponge works well, or cricket gel (sold at stores)

    They need places to hide- crumpled up newspaper or egg cartons works well.

      Diet- don't give them milk- it will spoil. Never heard of anyone giving them milk.

       I feed mine dog food mixed with veggies. Truthfully, they will eat about anything.

       There is protein and calicum in most foods, so it is hard to test that.

    You could give one a diet of just dog (or cat) food. and the other ones a diet of just veggies. You would also need a control of crickets that get dog food and veggies to compare them to.

    Also- make sure your top is secure- crickets get out pretty easily
