Im setting up a home office incl new laptop computer. Do I need to buy a router to access my yahoo internet?

I have another computer w/ Yahoo internet in my family room which I always use now. Sorry but I am really computer dumb.

If you're going to keep using the other computer,yes.

get a wireless router.

Wall to DSL modem, Modem to wireless router, Wireless router to laptop and computer.

There are 4 wire port on wireless router as well so you can use for your computer in family room.

If you want to share your connection or connect wirelessly, yes.  If you're going to plug your laptop into your modem, no.  Linksys wireless routers are really easy to install.
