Im shadowing a police officer this week and im only 13 years old. and i don't know exactly what i can do?

can i ride in the police car with them or what?

yeah, usually it includes a ride-along, but you also get to see what they do back at the station

At 13 years of age, they may not allow you in the patrol vehicle, especially if the officer is on a run.  Ride alongs have to be adults.
