  2. is there any one else you can talk to like a teacher or a friend or even one of your friends parents?

i'm sure someone would be happy to talk you through it. it's a normal natural thing.

have you not done this in s*x ed at school?

  3. I haven't gotten mine yet. But I've heard you get this brownish colored discharge in your underwear. And you get cramps.

  4. Its nothing to be scared about. When you finally get your period just tell your mom so she can buy you tampons or pads.

If you want more information about it go here:

  5. Just say "Mom can i talk to you?"

  6. ok its like leaking, you should try maxipads first their easier to put on and such but if u really want tamponS then have the school nurse show u good luck

  7. Okay, so before i got mine, i was both scared and excited. When my mom went to a business trip, i got my period. I had to tell her over msn!! haha. She said good for you! I know what you mean, and i'm pretty sure a lot of girls do. You just have to trust yourself, and tell her. I'm pretty sure she had hers, or why else would you be here? Right? So just go there, tell her mom, i think i got my period, and she'll probably give you a big hug!

  8. I was extremely embarassed, like you, before my period started and during the first few months. I was so scared it was unbelievable. but now its just normal for me and it will be for you too hunny!

i still can't talk to my mum very well about it, but just remember every girl gets it, it's normal. there is nothing to be ashamed of!

try going on a site like beinggirl.co.uk and read all about things to do to prepare. and how to handle your first period etc.

as for what it feels like.. gooey leaking. haha

and it looks like normal discharge but red colour, like that jelly textured stuff.

    hope this helps!

    keep smiling

  9. EVERY woman has had her period.

You may notice your b*****s getting a little sore, maybe you have a stomach cramp or two..and then it starts off as a small stain..and then flows more.

Talk to your mom. Tell her that you know that girls your age get their periods and ask her about hers.

She will probably be grateful that you came to her.

You can also ask the nurse at school for a pad and some literature.

good luck..and remember..all women..hillary clinton, mother teresa, janet reno, madeline albright..all of us have had it. its nothing secretive or shameful!

  10. I'm sorry that you don't have a loving relationship with your mother, so you'd be free to discuss things like that with her.  But since you don't, isn't there another adult woman you could talk to?  Someone like maybe your best friend's mom, or one of your aunts, or an older sister, a grandmother?

If you would like to email me, I'd be glad to answer your questions privately. .

  11. It just feels like you're leaking. Seriously. And you should be able to imagine what it looks like, seeing as it's got blood in it...

  12. I didn't even realize I had started. I had to pee so I went to the bathroom, as usual, haha and I noticed a brownish discharge in my underwear. Not like the regular discharge I had gotten for sooo long. I just called my mom and told her that I thought I had started, and she went by the store to buy me some tampons. I've never used a pad in my life, they're sooo much harder to deal with. And tampons are so easy to use. But anyways, It doesn't even feel like gross or anything. You can barely tell! And you'll never know with a tampon, your day just proceeds as normal! (:

  13. ....... well it feels like your leaking and you might get really bad cramps and or back pain......... and it looks really nasty like blood with mucus ............ if this doesn't help try talking to an older sister, aunt or an adult you trust. and i know that sounds way to commercial but it might help you to hear it from some one you know and trust

  14. just tell her my cuz had her 1st 1 yesterday!! she felt the same way but she told her mom

  15. When I first got my period; it was a really dark brownish discharge and after the first day it turned to red. You may or may not feel cramping in your tummy right before it happens and usually they proceed through the cycle for a couple days.

I know you aren't close to your mom, but you should find someone who you can talk to about this. You shouldn't feel embarassed because it is a natural and normal thing for a young woman to go through.

Do you have another woman, a teacher, aunt, sister, or maybe the mother of a friend that you can talk to. Ask your friends if they have started theirs and if so, you can maybe get some tampons or pads from them. Ask how they are used, and make sure to change your tampons regularly if you use them.

    Good Luck.

  16. Lol, nothing to be afraid of ;).

But if you don't wanna talk to your mom about it, you can talk to someone else about it. Every woman has/will get their's sometime or another. And it's more helpful if you have someone help while you're just beginning.

It just looks like blood when you use the bathroom. It lasts about a week with the second day feeling heaviest and you get it once a month, normally. And yeah...it just leaks at times but not much unless you're sitting down for a long while and you up; a lot will leak o_o lol.

Btw, don't eat/drink too much cold things :D. They can give you cramps.
