Im so confuzled about this help?

i was camping and me and my friends found 3 baby birds(just out of the eggs)cus a tree trimmer nocked down the nest!and they broke their wings and painfully my mom said to kill them cus they were suffering so i did but what could i have done i know its 2 late but im curios

you no doubt put them out of any pain they were in. They would not have lived being so new, anyway. I know you feel sad but you did what a DR. would have done!

that happened to us. we didn't kill our birds, we nersed them back to health.

there probably isn't much else you could have done,they were probably too small for splints and such,just keep in mind you did what you thought was best,and you didn't do it out of cruelty...

AII 3 birds each had 2 broken wings??  That is sort of hard to believe.  Next time take them to a local wildlife rehab. There is a chance if they were in too bad of shape they may have been euthanized anyway, but there is a chance they could have been saved as well.  Also, whoever the tree trimmer was should be reported to your local US Fish and Wildlife Service as knocking down this nest broke the law. ALL wild native birds are protected by the Migratory Bird Treaty Act.

They could have been taken to a wildlife rehabber in your area or a vet that accepts injured wildlife. Its a shame they are dead they might have had a chance. If it happens again. Keep them warm on heating pad with makeshift nest on top of it. Call vet or rehabber. Feed them once they are warm. Give them Bird handfeeding formula that you get at a petstore. directions on back. Sorry you had to do this. You did the best you could at the time.
