  1. just so you know as a meat industry proffesional those videos on peta are ussaly shot on illegal farms that dont follow safety regualtions or more often then not are stageed by peta themselves

  2. Eat lots of BACON!

    PETA = Propaganda

  3. You could always buy veggie burgers or veggie dogs.  A lot of people I know eat and love veggie burgers.  I love veggie dogs.  They don't taste that much different.  There are plenty of meat substitutes, you just have to look for them.  When you want meat, just think about how far you've come and you won't want to throw it away and/or you could just think about what would happen to the animal and that could help, too.  There are plenty of other things to eat besides meat.  Stick to it!

  4. sucks for you...

  5. Make sure you have all of the information by researching being a vegan/vegetarian online.

You are going to have to monitor your diet a lot more closely to

make sure you are eating enough of the right things.

By the way, your family will probably try to hide meat in food they feed you.

  6. Meat is good, it's healthy for you, God intended them for us to eat. Those animals you saw getting slaughtered or whatever happens and will happen whether you eat meat or not, it's not like you're stopping it from happening.

  7. *eats another meat pie*

    You poor thing..

  8. Get multiple vegetarian recepie books including Indian cuisine. The tastier the food and more variety the better. Good Luck!

  9. ok first of all, those slaughter house horror stores are teririble to watch, but honestly most places haven't been like that in a good 10-15 years. yes there are some that still do cruel disgusting things like that but for the most part, the animals are not treated like that.

but to answer your question...PEANUT BUTTER! best thing ever and you need your protein

  10. im not a veg, but i have quite a few veg friends, and that vegan barbecue sause for those veggie kabobs is orgasmic.

  11. congrats on becoming a vegetarian its your right and choice to do so but understand that those who eat meat have that same right and choice too. its not yours to make for them and its not theirs to make for you. too many people go activist on others and thats not right.  now that i said that the other thing is make sure you take vitamins or make sure your diet includes all the things you need. tofu is a wonderful choice and there are many site like allrecipes.com that have great vegetarian recipes on them. do a web search for vegan or vegetarian recipes and you will have plenty of choices.

  12. I will start out by saying that I completely disagree with you and suggest that you check into PETA's sources.  I will also suggest that you not just believe something just because you saw it on their website.  Anyway it is your right to become a vegetarian so I would suggest the following:  Make sure to take a good high potency multiple vitamin containing iron.  You will also need to make sure you are getting enough protien in your diet.  I deal with people every day who are vegetarians/vegans that are losing their hair, their skin becomes pasty, and their teeth get nasty because they are not getting enough protien/vitamins.  Try a soy or egg protien and mix with juice or water.  You can also get protien from beans, tofu, "fake" meat products, etc...

I am going to go eat my  husband's fantastic Deer Chili now....Yummy!

  13. Eat a large variety of veggies, and research different cooking methods. And get to know beans and lentils, they are your best friends now as far as protein goes.

It's healthier. Not to mention it's your decision, try putting pressure on them to be veggie when they pressure you to eat meat. It's your body. Eat what you want.

  14. ah THATS GREAT!!! I'm a vegetarian, heres something I highly advise you buy.

Smart ground, which is an alternative ground beef, yet, tastes way better than real ground beef! you can make tacos, spaghetti, anything... hamburgers

  15. he dont eat no meat- its ok i make lamb

  16. wow you sound exstatic lol.............thats good keep on saving animals would be my advice join your local animal rights organizations and volunteer at animal shelters

  17. I have been a vegetarian for almost a year and it has been hard. Both my parents are constantly trying to get me to eat meat but you just have to give them a firm no. It is kinda hard because you don't get all the protein and iron you need. You should try veggie burgers. I really hated them when I first tried them but I continued to eat them and now I love them. I think the Boca burgers taste the best but there are a lot of other brands. I also have to take iron pills to ensure I get enough iron. if you don't you can get very sleepy, have bad headaches, and fell horrible. You can pick them up at and local drug store and it isn't bad having to take them.

After a while I started not even wanting meat because it didn't appeal to me to eat flesh. You should go to goveg.com and order a free vegetarian starter kit. I did and it helped because there is a lot of information.

One last thing is that you have to be careful because a lot of candy has gelatin in it which is pretty much ground up animal skin and bones. A few foods that contain gelatin are: marsh mellows, skittles, star burst, gummy worms and bears, and a lot of fruit snacks. Also, whenever you are tempted to eat meat go to goveg.com and watch the video "Meet Your Meat". I promise you won't want to eat meat after watching it. Anyway, good luck. If you stick to it, you will start feeling a lot healthier and better. I know I did.

  18. Make yourself a contract and sign it. Maybe say you'll do it for a month or so. (I just finished my month =D) You kinda don't feel like eating it anymore anyway. Eat other things that replace meat instead of just not eating the meat. There are some really nice vegie burgers and stuff like that.

Make sure you eat enough protein and iron rich things.

    - eat protein like legumes (eg. lentils and chick peas), nuts, eggs, dairy foods

    - eat foods rich in iron like dark green vegetables, dried peaches, figs, apricots and wholemeal bread every day. Some breakfast cereals have extra iron too

I got some iron tablets because I don't really eat enough iron rich foods. You'll be able to get some from pretty much any chemist.

    Congrats and good luck =D

  19. watch alot of sad animal  movies or somthing then you wont eat meat like killing animal movies yeah it will be sad but it will work.

  20. Monitor your diet closely. make sure you have all the right protiens! congrats on being a veg! i am so happy you are. ou should also support peta! its one of the best things evr! they hav great tips! i have been a veg for 6 months and am totally happy. congrats again! good luck!!!!

  21. Meat is good. I'm a meat lover. I know you said vegans and vegetarians only, but I wanna say something! Just keep doing what your doing, and if your pressured, think of those poor animals, and then try to fight it as hard as your can. You know what meat usually gets vegetarians to eat meat? Bacon. It smells soooo good when it's cooking so make sure not to be around bacon at all times :P

  22. if you lack protein eat fish and beans fish are not meat they are poltry only cuz they barely any or no feeling or memorie for example if you hit a fish or hurt a fish 3 seconds later it will forget proving there brain is the size of a very small cigerete but proving they have barely any memorie also proved scientificly by disection of the fish head

  23. Indian food is so geared towards the vegetarian diet - no I am not talking about the greasy c**p they serve in restaurants, but proper indian vegetables home cooked in sauces!  There is so much choice and range that you can eat a different dist every day for a month!!!

I suggest you research and take indian vegetarian cookery classes - you will never want meat ever again, the choice of foods is immense, from 10 different types of dahls, 100's of vegetables, each can be cooked in different sauces.....the menu can go on for ever!

  24. killing and eating animals is fun.

  25. Just stick with it and be strong.  You decide what to eat, don't let anyone pressure you.  It's your body and your life.   Good luck.

  26. I find that it is not that hard to stop eating meat.

Few months ago I gratually reduce eating meat.

3 months ago I became 100% vegetarian, my next step is moving into vegan.

I think I will never  turn back.

  27. eat some freaking steak man just get it out of ur system.. its like quitting smoking... pretty much impossible unless u can do it mentally and physiclay

  28. rent a movie about animals or look on you-tube for a vid of ppl killing animals or something, that's sure to keep you motivated!

  29. morning star farms has a great variety of meat substitutes

my favorites are the chik'n patties

and the meal starters that is like ground beef

that is good for tacos and meat sauce

tofu is okay, but you really need to learn how to flavor it right for it to taste good

keep it up... i had a hamburger (my mom made me) the other day and it tasted so DIFFERENT.  once you get used to veggie products, it becomes natural.  just make sure you get enough protein.

    PEANUT BUTTER
