Im so nervous?

Hey. I have rubgy try outs tomorrow and the truth is im not too good lol. How do I relax tonight and feel exited about them tomorrow and not nervous?

  1. having some nerves is good as long as you are  not shaking like a leaf when you are on the field

    try reading or listening to music while monertering your breathing

    visualise what you want to do when you get out there and go and give your all

    if you are giving 100% a decent coach will spot that and any weaknesses you have can be worked on

    you can teach a player to have the guts and the willingness to keep going when your teams not doing great

    skills and tactical awareness can and will come with playing more

    go for it and more than anything else try to enjoy it

  3. Tonight you need to sleep so not being nervous is good.  So relax and sleep.

    Actually tomorrow a little case of the nerves while warming up for the tryouts is a good thing.  It will bring up your adrenaline which will get you up for the physical exertion.  It will focus your eyesight, quicken your step and your mental focus.  Have you ever heard someone say stay loose?  Remember loose muscles are quick muscles, so be loose, flop around some and loosen up.  Stay away from trash talkers.  Stand back and look at the competitors and see if you can see which direction they like to move and which foot they favor, you can then use it against them by moving them away from their preferred side or foot and directions they like to cut.  you will be able to anticipate their movements.  Try to stay away from direct collisions, make the hit a glancing movement to stay on your feet.

    Hit hard, have fun (to stay loose) and join the team.

  4. I played american football as an offensive lineman and before a game I would watch highlights of the same game I would be playing football clips.  While I was listening to some hard heavy metal music like Metallica, Pantera.  

    THATS THE WAY I GET RID OF MY NERVES TRY IT, IT MAY WORK FOR YOU.

  5. Watch a funny movie.

    Have a hot shower.

    Drink warm milk.

    Listen to any music u like.

  6. Run a lap or two before you go to the try outs so your body will be ready and relaxed.
