  1. dont worry about it! flying is safer than driving.

why: -theres nothing to crash into because all air traffic is spaced out to give each aircraft lots and lots of room.

-if you are afraid of dropping out of the sky, well i can tell you thats just not going to happen... the aerodynamics of the plane makes it practically impossible to crash even if the engines fail. the pilot will just glide the plane down to safety with its wing flaps.

-the pilots flying are incredibly experienced and would know exactly what do if anything should go wrong, which it wont because before the plane is aloud to take off, it has to go through a huge long checklist to make sure that its airworthy.

  2. Vallium, Xanex, or Lexapro are anti-anxiety drugs.

Don't watch any movies about plane crashes, don't read any books about it, etc.  Try to meditate on the fact that flying is actually the safest form of travel!!

  3. Its alright. They flight might not be that long, and its usually quiet, so try to sleep, and distract your self. Breath deeply to remove the nerves, and dont worry about it intell it comes. Im sure ur bf will be right there supporting you. I have before nerv's but when i take off there gone cause i no im safe, and God is looking after me, he always is. So try hard not to let this get the better of you. Breath nice long deep breathes when you think about it, and tell your self that everything is going to be ok. Good luck, and i hope i helped out :)

  4. Ask your Doc for a script of Klonopin.  It only takes .5 mg to work very, very effectively against anxiety without the drowsy effect you get from xanax, valium, etc.  Also, a simple OTC is Taurine 500mg. It's a natural relaxing/anti-anxiety that you find in many energy drinks. That works well too.  Depending on how severe your anxiety of flying is, you may want to go with klonopin. It works for me and I do not enjoy flying.

  5. take some dramamine, its a drug for motion sickness, it makes you really sleepy and it lasts a long time. Its okay, the first time i flew my parents didnt go and it was ust me and my little brother. That was scary, but the dramamine is like really cheap if you go to a gas station you can get a pack with 4 pills in it and it was like a dollar for me.

  6. I hate flying too but once you are on the plane and up in the air you will be fine ou just have to get up the nerve to get on the plane I don;t know if any drugs would help but it can;t hurt just don;t get wrecked or they will not let you on the plane.

  7. I flew for the first time ever 2 years ago its like one big carseat the turbalance was a little scary but other than that take a couple of books some gum If I did you can do it and I am older than you

  8. Boo hoo. Trust your boyfriend and just get on the plane. You will realize that it is nothing to be terrified about. No reason to as well possibly use the word that people use these days.... the one that was used before for babies. Oh yes it is "scared".

  9. ha thats great your excactly like me!

tho i have to admit it is all in the mind....the more you think of it the worst it becomes

i dont no what happened but a couple of weeks back i was thinking about all the places i wanted to visit...looking on the net of the pictures of these places Eygpt, Guatemala, Australia......i suddenly became really excited about seeing those places and decided that the only way i was going to see them was to go on an airplane.

you should get yourself excited about the holiday then once you have that good feeling use it on the flying.....like for instance think of the view out of the window thats a spectacular view and once your up there you'll really enjoy it.

if your like me its clostraphobia and the fear that theres no way out but then its the same with all transport if you want to go somewhere youll have to take that risk you'll have a great time and one to remember.

doctors do give you either drugs or injections to calm your nerves but also if you tell the air stuwardess they will help you might even get to go in the cockpit.

good luck i hope that helps and enjoy you holiday!

dont miss out because of your fears hun you will regret it.
