  1. The local paper has tons of places for rent in it this week.  How come you are not checking those out?

  2. Maybe try here just to see where people live and how much rent is?

  3. I'm going through the same thing right now myself but in Puerto Vallarta.  Apartments are easy to find if you are down there where you are able to talk with the local people working at bars and restaurants.  They know about apartments available that are never advertised.  I found a couple in the $300 - $400 range including utilities.

I am pretty sure I have a job lined up running a restaurant so I should be able to move within a few months.  Paperwork is not an issue.  Stay 180 days on your tourist permit and then either go back across the border and get another one for an additional 180 days or start your FM2 or FM3 paperwork.  You can literally stay forever on tourist permits though.

Search the web for a newspaper from Cabo with classified ads.  Puerto Vallarta has one but I don't know about Cabo.  I assume there is a good reason that you must be in Cabo.

    Good luck

If you are "like" broke, Cabo is too expensive for you. Playas Tijuana has some cheaper places, but not many under 300USD per month. Some landlords will want you to verify your income. Being a US vagrant in Mexico will get you deported.
