Im starting my own business and I need to know if legalzoom.com is good for.....?

for trademarking a name and stuff like that. They are cheaper than a lawyer but should i go with them or just get a lawyer aournd where i am

Trademarking is a highly specialized field and includes both common law rights and statutory rights.  How those rights are preserved and what you must do to protect your mark is something that only an attorney board certified in that area can answer based upon facts presented.

Buying "forms" from legal zoom or any other such site will do nothing to preserve your rights.  To find a board certified attorney in trademark, patents or copyrights call your local state board/bar.

Finally, for simple filings such as LLC, Inc. filings etc. a on line form seller may be fine but your situation is in a highly technical field.
