Question:

Im stuck, im finding studying too hard!?

I have to study an IT book to pass my exam, and i need to learn everything thats init, book is 1300 pages, i have 8 weeks till my exam and i have to know EVERYTHING thats in that book, i have to take an exam with 50 questions taken out of a pool of 200, my exams, where do i start? how do i start studying it, theres way too much info to take on, i havent got a good memory, and beleive me, this book is like doing a maths degree, problem is i HAVE to take this exa m to pass 1 out of 4 exams to get my Microsoft Professionals Qualification, i really need help, can you help me, im desperate for advice and ideas?????

  1. Start reading, get a highlighter pen & mark important bits in the book.  Just keep reading, whether or not you think you understand it.

    When you have finished the book, start again, slower, re-reading the highlighted parts you have made.  Also, reading out loud can help you to retain more information.

    Get a friend to test you as well...

  5. Split up your days and study each chapter. Read it, write notes, learn the terms then form a small study group where you can have face to face discussions on the subject. Teach someone else the material is probably the best way to learn, understand and remember the material. Do all of this as quickly as possible so that the last week or too you can just review everything. Good luck I hope you pass : )

  6. Short answer:  you need to learn the book.  If you aren't able to learn the book, maybe you need to reconsider your career path.  

    Studying is hard.  Lock yourself in a room and test yourself.  Don't go out on weekend.  Demonstrate your commitment.
