  1. There is no conversion.

1 ml of water weighs close to 1 gram.  That is a thousand milligrams of water. That is only for pure water, but very dilute solutions are close to the same density.

If you are asking about some solution of a drug or active substance in water, then if the active has a concentration of 1 mg per ml or 1 gram per litre, then 1 ml of solution has 1 mg.  If the active is 5 mg per ml or 5 grams per litre, then 1ml has 5 mg.

You need to know the concentration of the solution.

  2. 1mg = 1/1,000 of a gram. (0.001g) and, 1g of water = 1mL.

If the density of the liquid is equal to that of water, then 200mg...

    = 200mg / 1,000mg/g = 0.2mg = 0.2mL.

  3. Depends what the liquid is but basically

volume = mass/ density so if you want the mass which is mg

then m= volume times density and make sure the units cancel out

density is usually in grams/ ml so you would get the mass in grams and you'd have to convert to mg by multiplying by 1000
