Im supposed to go tonight and have "the talk" with my gf parents?

I'm kinda stressed out about it cuz they dont like me so much, i dont fill their expectations but im what you call a good boy, and they know that, they probably wont want me to go see her at her college dorm and well....they're VERY strict, any tips?

Just be yourself and don't freak out. Act polite. Maby give flowers to the lady and chocolates to the gent. The parents.

1) Be nice and polite no matter what they tell you in "the talk."

2) Keep in mind if you get rude with them you are only confirming the reasons they don't want you dating their daughter.

3) If you don't have a good career path, go back to school and get one.

4) Her parents may be concerned that you don't have a good career and a good future for their daughter.

5) Dress conservatively. Shake her Dad's hand. Talk slowly and answer all their questions.

6) Assure them you want the same for their daughter....the best.

What the h**l is 'The talk'??  Sorry Im from the UK and I cant think of anything more mortifying than forcing my kids to sit down with me with they boyf or gilfs and having a chat with them about 'what is acceptable'.

Go along - be yourself - and dont expect to be welcomed to visit her dorm by her dad (are you crazy, we like to pretend our kids dont do that sort of thing never mind giving you permission:-)

Just stay calm. Make sure that they think that you have no bad intentions for the parents just want to here that your good and there just scared of losing their daughter so you might take that as a good sign.
