  1. At the end of your bill cycle. That way you won't be surprised with any charges.


  2. Don't switch!!! I have Time Warner (now called Bright House where I live) and was about to switch to Direct TV last year and immediately changed my mind when I discovered a lot hidden fees, and their customer service is lousy.

  3. When the installation is operational - that's when the direct charges start.
