  1. I`m not being funny but I suggest you do something about your spelling, grammar and punctuation. The RAF consider themselves the elite force and nit-pick about that sort of thing.

  2. 1.Written and spoken English (you don't come across well in type !)

    2. Maths and Science.

    3. Inter-personal communication skills

  3. The theory of flight might be a good place to start. You don't say what the apprenticeship is on for example what sort of aircraft will you be doing your training on and which particular element of that aircraft Engines, The Airframe. If you let us have a bit more information then perhaps we can help you with more.

  4. Everything to do with planes. Know your nautical miles and knots. Plan model and makes, speeds, weight etc.

It's better to go knowing more than you need to, than less than you need to.

    Good luck!

  5. On my personnel web site I have lots of information about being an aircraft mechanic.  You can the find site at: http://www.stacheair.com click on mechanic tool box.

And yes written and spoken skills are very important.
