Im taking Prednisone so...?

I heard its a steroid...does it really work like a steroid though? can I gain muscle quickly with just this medicine?

let  me tell u some thing im taking it along with lots of other meds for autoimmune liver disase and i want to let u know dont even think about taking it it h**l dealing with all the side affects and by the way all u get is water weight and lots of bad side affects
