  1. For me it was terrible. I got a C and all my other GCSEs were A or A*.

I think it's because I was the best in my year 9 class then I was one of the worst in my GCSE class.

It's A LOT of work. People were spending entire lunch times in the art room working and even staying behind after school. The exam for mine was 9 hours long and spread out over 2 days. Not fun at all.

  2. As in the course?

For the modules, the teacher more or less guides it through it. In our first year we begun with sketches, and then went on to make our own compositions, but the teacher explained every step to help us.

In the second year it's more difficult, but it's more or less the same.

The exam is tough though; you have so many hours preparation, and then a 10 hour exam.

It is not a subject for the faint hearted.

  3. fun times

I wish i could do mine over again :( even though I did two art gcses. The yr 9 gifted and talented art class scheme was a good idea, but no one told me i was gonna get a gcse out of it so i mindlessly chose it again in yr 10...had to change to textiles.........got 2 sweet A's out of it, mwahaa...er u dont care about ANY of that do you....soz err no its flipn BRILLIANT best subject EVER

alot of time-consuming coursework but most  ppl take it cos they have a passion for it.... you'll love it

  4. you will have quite a few projects per year - i did three last year, when i was in year 10. each project has to fill up an (A3??) piece of paper...well a really big piece anyway...

the exam is 10 hours long (but don't worry - it's usually over 2 weeks - you don't just sit down and draw for 10 straight hours! hehe)

    hope that helped!!

  5. omg.

    ive taken art aswell!!!

    good luck x

  6. :O :O :O :O :O :O

You Gota Do 10 hour Exam At The End Of It which Is So Long.. And There Loads Of HARD Coursework To Do, And If You Cant Draw Like Me, Then Maybe Try And Get It Changed :)

    Good Luck Anyway :)

    :)x
