Im taking ceremics in high school the upcomming year which is my sophmore year how does it work?

its a 9 - 12 grade class so im going to be with people all ages in highschool but its ceremics one so im guesing it wont be too hard. but can someone tell me like what im going to be doing ? like do i put clay in a mold or do i mold it my self or like what is it ?

Ceramics in high school can be a blast if you go into it with the right attitude.  You'll probably be making some sort of pinch pot that you'll mold into a bowl, cup, etc.  You may be making a plate or something flat to go with that.  You might be making some sort of vase or semi-closed project and you might also being doing something creative with "scraps".  I have several pieces that my students have "left" either to me to keep or simply behind because they didn't want them.  Some of them are just wonderful.  Have a ball and get imaginative!
