  1. you really need your abs strong and work your shoulder muscles jump rope and weights

  2. you want your arms, legs, and abs toned. You also want to do some cardio.

We usually do bench press, incline bench, arm curls, pull overs, lat pulls, military press -- these are all for arms.

For legs we do squats, hip sled, and lunges.

Abs -- we do 100 crunches, throw downs, and rowing.

For Cardio -- I usually run a mile or two, and then we jump rope for about 3 minutes.

    I hope this helps...

  3. ice skating.. itll help your leg muscles to get into shape for positions... rollerskating too. seriously.

  4. all the muscle and skill in the world can't help you unless you learn to think fast and react fast. volleyball courts are pretty small, so you have little time to think before the ball gets to you. practice being light on your feet and try to anticipate where the ball will go.

  5. i heard you should do practice diving.

  6. Practice all hits but if you watch what you eat, exercise(running), u will be good to go.

I would also make sure u can get from one place to the other fast.

  7. yeah you should and you should run alot!!!

  8. well it really depends on what position your playing....but i woudl suggest to keep on working on sets, bumps and digs, but to work out you LEGS more than your arms....you might also want to focus on your vertical jump also!

  9. You will want to focus on your biceps and triceps to give you strength  in your arms but also focus on doing squats to strenghten  your legs.

  10. when your playing make sure your knees are always bent, your never standing straight up. your arms need to be strong enough to hit the ball over the net, you want to try to hit it over hand, its hard at first but once you get it, it is much faster and harder for them to return. spiking, you have to jump as high as you can, dont be lazy. spikes and serving are different, many people think there the same. while serving your arm should be perfecting straight and you need to fallow through, make sure your arm goes all the way back down by your side. when spiking your arm is bent but not too much, while spiking you also have to fallow through with it, do all the steps your coachs teach you. volleyballs a great sport. dive for everything, stay low, if you dont think your other team mate is going to get it go after it, move your feet, talking it up out there, try your hardest to do three hits on your side, bump set spike. ask if you have more questions. hope this helped you! =]

  11. I found this site helpful in providing ideas for excercises to increase your jumping ability which is obviously a huge part of hitting and blocking.
