  1. the first time my mom drove she was exited until one day a little baby came in the way so if she hit the baby she would have to go to court so instead she hit a tree and all the people in the car got injured. so she didnt drive after that until my dad ensoreged her and she started drvivn again. my point is that u should give it another try

  2. Fear is a natural response when a person is faced with an unknown situation or a situation where you face danger. Those who have a fear of driving will still be able to drive but will often worry about it before they get in the car.

Anxiety takes many forms and has multiple symptoms. Driving anxiety will often develop after a fearful situation has been avoided. Often times those with driving anxiety will experience symptoms such as sweating, upset stomach, hyperventilation and exhaustion.

Driving phobia is something that disables a person from driving. People with phobias view it as a protection against a perceived danger. Those with driving phobia will often have severe panic attack and be unable to drive even short distances.

One of the biggest factors in driving accidents is tension. When you are tense you have a tendency to restrict the amount of attention you give to your surroundings. This can lead to mistakes which then increase the driving phobia. So before you attempt to drive take fifteen seconds to relax and take the tension out of your body. This will help break the cycle of driving phobias. If you still have problems getting rid of your tension then you can consider going to a therapist or a driver training course that will help teach you relaxation methods.

The key to getting rid of your driving phobia is to break the cycle. The most effective way to doing this is controlling your tension and fears by breathing. It is best to learn a slow, deep breathing that can help slow down your bodies functions so you don't panic or experience anxiety symptoms.

  3. Call a reliable  driving school  . Its normal to be nervous.

I was so scared at first, with my permit, but the more you drive, the more comfortable you feel

  6. seek counselling...it should help you by seeing a psychologist...in the mean time do not drive...

  7. Start by driving on side streets with low speed limits and not many cars. If that's too much for you maybe you can familiarise yourself with the van by driving in an empty parking lot.

Don't worry, it's always scary when you first start driving you'll get used to it.

and if you hit something, well stuff like that happens, and as long as no ones hurt.

    Good luck :)

  8. First of all, it's your choice to drive or not.  No matter what anyone else says, you are the only one who can decide.

Second of all, you're not alone.  I've been in a very similare same as you before, and it's not easy.  Since then, I have gotten so comfortable about driving and even decided I like driving so much that I've gone to racing schools and driven race cars around race tracks.

The best thing to do is take your time.  Get in the car, play with the side view mirrors, the rear view mirror, the seat controls, the radio, the windshield wipers, the head lights.  Just have fun and poke at everything until you know what it does.  Then, follow all the basics, like foot on the brake, turn the ignition, release the handbrake, and select your gear.

It's not too hard, just takes getting used to; just like lots of things in life.

    Best of luck!

  9. dont drive

  10. Everyone ***ts a brick the first time they drive and is rubbish its called learning...youd have to b a genius to get it first go! you sound like you  have issues anyway so for god sake talk to someone!!  life is about facing things that are hard and scary sometimes if you cant cope with that then there are lots of things in life you will never do...you gotta get help and some confidence in yourself x
