  1. Not in Pismo Beach, but there are some interesting places in nearby San Luis Obispo:

Apple Farm Inn (stayed there many times) http://www.applefarm.com/

    Madonna Inn (absolutely unique) http://www.madonnainn.com/

  2. Yeah I grew up there and just recently got married.  Most people looking to get married on the beach get married at The Cliffs, which has a gazebo on a bluff right on the water.  A more secluded local resort is Sycamore which is in the Avila Valley.  There are also a few old victorians in the area such as the Dana Powers House in Nipomo and about a dozen amazing Wineries in the Santa Ynez Valley.  It kinda all depends on how much you want to spend.  You're looking at spending $3000-$7000 for a location on private property.  If you go with a resort you'll pay a lot less, but the price goes up when you consider that they control the food and drink.

    Hope this helps!

  3. I third the Cliffs resort for the best place on the beach. Steamers is also a gorgeous seafood restaurant right on the cliffs.. The person above me gave some great suggestions with that as well as Sycamore springs. Sycamore is a more wooded area and has some amazing hot springs. Both places are beautiful, it just depends on what you are looking for. There are also tons of wineries in the central coast from Paso Robles (which is up to and over 100 degrees right now, so not goo for a day time summer wedding probably) to Santa Maria area. I would pass on Madonnna Inn, but Apple Farm is a cute little Inn. Here are some website resources to check out:

Those are probably some of the best, and most unique places in and around pismo. Good Luck.

  4. I kind of like The Cliffs. I've been there several times. I don't know the area all that well, though. I only visit Pismo infrequently.
