Im thinkin about gettin a turtle?

im thinkin about gettin a turtle as a pet? this a good idea? like what would be a good mainly indoor one, like a small one? what am i gonna need and all and all that other sutuff? and like how much is it gonna cost and stuff? thanks:)

I have a baby yellow belly slider in a 20 gallon tank. She does not smell. They are not exspensive and are not high maintence, but i was wandering if i could take her on a walk outside when she is a baby, she is about half the size of my palm.
