what are the advantages and disadvantages of having a fixie over any other type of bike?? i am around 150 lbs, 6 foot tall, athletic build...what would the specs be on a bike if i got one?? any other information/advice you could giv me would b greatly appreciated (website references, bike shops... watever) thanks

    And they are set up Fixie/Free, so you're not stuck with something when the trend is over!


  2. You'll need a Large or about a 58cm. Fixies are just cool. They are simple and fun to ride. The disadvantages are they only have one gear, and a true fixie has a "fixed" gear: direct drive, no coasting. This can be a little tricky to get used to. I would recommend a Surly:
