I've been practicing my head off.

Heart and soul all into it.

And I have tryouts on monday,

I've been thinking about not going.

I wanna play SO bad...

it's just I'm really bad at it.

My serves arent cosistant,

my bumps always fly all over the place,

I dont know how to set properly..

I'm just BAD.

and I have like what, one day?

Is there anything I could do

to give me at least the slightest bit of hope?

I really want to play,

I'm just so bad, it's not even funny.

  1. Yep. Now's the time. You'll be happier.

  2. dont give up

i was in this same position a week ago

i knew i was not very good i was actually kinda like you described yourself

there were so many girls and a some worse than me

im SOO happy now i made the team!!!

im a freshman and still people on my team are soooo good

im thinking they chose me cuz they think i have potential

cause i seriously thought i wouldn't make it

anyways you should go b/c all that really mattered to me anyways was i would get better for next years tryouts i was more shocked than anything though

    go for it

    :)

  3. Just go out and try it!  Who knows you could make it!

  4. I am terrible at volleyball too but all you can do is tryout and if you do make it I am sure that someone will help you practice.

  5. No matter how bad you are...there is always gonna be someone out there that is worst than you...if you really love volleyball like you do...you wont give up..and escpeially wimp out....do the only thing you can do and try....just hope that the coaches will be able to see how bad you want it...some tips for try outs though...if you mess...brush it off....dont make a  big deal out of it...if anything say "my bad" and forget about it..dont worry about you messing up...just play the game and do what the coaches tell you...and something else you could do...since you say you arent that good at volleyball....try to excel on other aspects of the sport...be a good runner...be a goood blocker....continue to work on it and you will get it...dont be discouraged and dont back down...

  6. try your best, and hope that the coach sees that you really are trying.

your skills will improve no matter what if you keep practicing, but your attitude wont if you decide.

  7. Just get in the right frame of mind and go and try your hardest and maybe you will make the team.

  8. Go to the tryouts anyways.  I was the worst at softball.  They always put me in the outfield.  I was lucky to have a couple of girls including the coach take an interest in me and show me how to throw a dynamite fast ball.  Within weeks I was pulled into first base because of my height.  I was star First baseman.  Still couldn't run worth a c**p, but found that I could hit a mean homerun almost everytime, so didn't need to run very fast.  My self esteem was at an all time high then.  So, team up with someone and ask for some  pointers.  Don't stop your what you love, someone may see something in you that is worth fixing.  Gooooo for t!!

  9. If you have the heart and good attitude the coaches will work with you.  They'll pick you if they know you are really in to the sport and will do anything to get better.  Don't get your hopes down you'll get better if you practice, practice, practice with the right techniques.

  10. Alls you need to do is think positive and dont let your team down. Practice whenever you get the chance. Never let the ball drop and be aggressive. Good luck.

  11. well, i think you should try out!! and be more confident in yourself. if YOU want to do it then DO IT!! Besides, your gonna have fun trying out even if you don't make it. and you might get even better!!  It doesn't hurt to just try out anyway!! I mean, you might make it, you don't KNOW that you won't. Don't give up, you've practiced SO HARD, and you don't want to do all of that for NOTHING?? do you?? so i say, TRY OUT!!!

  12. just give it a try if u dont u might regret it
