  1. In Guadalajara, it tends to rain in the solstices.

They are exactly what Charlie said and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!

It's pitch black during a thunder storm and then when lightning strikes, the entire countryside lights up. It's amazing!

    You should probably go now.

As a child, when I went in this time of the year, it was usually sunny or partly cloudy- it seldom rained as opposed to the winters or summers- especially the summers.

As a result, there are many mosquito, so take lots of insect repellent. I would always buy this spiral incense whenever I went there. Saved me from the millions of mosquito bites.

I hope I helped. I've been going there all the time growing up since my parents are from Jalisco. I'll be going this summer- I can't wait!!!!!

  2. our  summer season is rainy season in mex. overall but not necerraly

  3. from June to September, but thanx to global warming now you never know...

  4. If you're thinking of going to the Yucatan peninsula, you're best to avoid the main hurricane season, as this is also when it's hot, humid, and insect infested, and also when rain is most likely - I was given this info by locals a few years ago. Probably the best time is Nov - May.

  5. The coast and lowlands are hot and humid all year. The interior highlands are milder and drier, but can become freezing between December and February. Rainfall is scarce throughout most of the country.

The climate of Mexico varies according to altitude. The low-lying coastal areas are typically tropical, hot and humid, but the weather in Mexico City, which is sited at an altitude of 2,300 metres above sea level, is far more moderate. Mexico City has pleasant summers and mild winters, with an annual average temperature of 64 °F (18 °C). Seasonal variations in temperature are small, but May is the warmest month of the year, and January the coldest, when night frosts are possible. Mexico City has a high average annual rainfall, most falling in summer, the wettest month being July, and the driest month February.

  6. Different in different parts of the country.  Where are you planning to go?  In eastern Mexico it is June through August...but this does not mean it rains all day. That is extremely unusual.  Usually there is a very heavy shower in the late afternoon, then the sun comes back out.  It often rains during the nite.  Most of the day is sunny.

  7. My coworker wrote a "When to Go" article on Mexico that includes weather information. According to the Mexico Tourism Board, the rainy season starts in May.

You can find the rest of the article (which includes information about when to go to save money), here:

One more important thing to consider is that hurricanes are most likely to touch down in Mexico in September.
