Im thinking of buying a new 2008 Toyota Matrix XR for my son. Think he'll like it?Is it a good car a teenager?

He is a good 17 year old kid. Does what hes told, does good in school, and is a good, safe driver. His birthday is coming up and i was thinking of buying him a brand new 2008 Toyota Matrix XR. Is this a good car for a teen? Do you think, he'll like it?

I'm the same age as your son. And I would love to have that car. Brand new cars are always a plus in highschool. But anyway i think that your son would very much enjoy the car.

As a rule of thumb, you should never buy a new car for a teenage driver. Your insurance will be rather high (especially since it is suggested that you get full coverage on new cars).

Personally, I think the Matrix is kinda ugly and I'm not convinced Toyota is as good as everyone says they are.

However, if you kid likes it, and you don't mind paying for a new car that will likely get damaged, go for it.

Yes, it's reliable, easy to handle, and good on gas. But if you're not sure he willl like it, just ask him before buying it.

First ask your son.He might like a car that is much cheaper.You never know.He might dislike the car.Then you're down 20k
