  1. Let's just say this, flexibility would deffinitely help you. At first it may not seem like it but later on when you learn to do tricks it comes in handy. And yes it is hard. I do hip hop and let me tel you its not easy. Its different from any other kind of dance. But if you work hard it will pay off. If you want to get a feeling of it, go on youtube and type in lear how to do hip hop or something like that.

  2. for hip hop you dont usually need to be that flexible. but if you want to be able to do some of the really cool stuff you do.  yeah its hard. but its easier in a way because you get to have your own style and there is not as much techneique like in ballet or jazz or anything.  but if you take like a beginners class it probably wont be that hard.

  3. for a beginner it requires less flexibility than other dance styles

& the difficulty level kinda varies

some people just have a feel for and some just don't

  4. i love hip hop. you should definitely try it. i'm not flexible at all but in my opinion, i'm pretty good. i mean i can see how it would help but i'm doing just fine right now. as far as how hard it is, it all depends on the class, your teacher, and you. the class- if you start in a beginner class, obviously it would be easier than starting in an advanced class. the the teacher- some teachers' choreography is harder and more complex than others. their teaching styles can also make it easier or harder for you to pick up moves. for example, my hip hop teacher explains all the moves to us when she teaches us a new routine so it's super easy for me to pick up on it. on the other hand, my jazz teacher just shows us the routine without explaining the individual moves so it's harder for me to learn jazz routines. you- who knows, you might have a natural talent for dance. if you do, it will be much easier for you. if not, you're gonna have to work harder to be good. it also depends on how dedicated you are and how often you practice. for me hip hop was pretty easy but i think it had to do with how i started in a beginner class, had a really good teacher, (probably) had a natural talent for it, and i practiced all the time. jazz is harder for me because i started in an advanced class and the teacher doesn't explain things as much. so yeah, there are a lot of factors that can influence how difficult it is for you.

    best of luck!

  5. for hip hop i dont think u have to be flexible

  6. You don't have to be flexible but that will help with breakdancing.

Honestly, i started dancing HipHop with nothing and i loved it.

Just give it a shot. Enjoy the class, enjoy the dance.

  7. You don't really need to be flexible, although it doesn't hurt. Flexibility really only comes into it if you're getting into breakdancing. Start with a beginner class and it shouldn't be too hard. A good instructor will gradually build on moves so they start off simple and get more complicated but you don't move on until you have the first bit down. You should definitely do it, you'll have so much fun!
