Im thinking of getting a 2000 Mercury Cougar & i cant find any ipod ready stereos for it. what ones will work?

so far i havnt been able to find out any type of stereos that will work with a 2000 mercury cougar and im pretty sure this is the car im going to end up with so id like to be able to play my ipod in it but i cant if there's no stereo that will work. if anyone knows of anything can you please let me know because this is getting verrryyy frustrating! thank you.

P.S. i absolutely do not want to try any of those crappy am/fm transmitter things because they sound HORRIBLE.
