Im thinking of getting a portible xm player what will happen if XM and sirius merge?

I was just reading about this very thing.  If they merge nothing would really change.  The XM radios aren't set up to get Siruis channels and same with Sirius.  They don't get XM channels.  Sounds like there is no plan to make a radio that gets both.  Kind of disappointing.
