  1. I wanted to get married on a farm near me next to a lake in a marquee. It turned out that I was only allowed to use certain locations so we did the legal bit in the registry office before the actual service. We then had a church paster come to the lake and marry us in the eyes of god and in front of our friends and family. It made no difference to the day at all. The only bit you would not do at home in the circumstance is signing the register. I suppose if the photos of you signing the register are important you could mock those photos up on the day at your home.

  2. Why not phone your local Office of Births, Deaths and Marriages who will answer all those questions.

  3. I am not sure about there but in Ontario, Canada it is 135 no matter where you are getting married.

  4. go to your local city hall and they can tell you but i believe its no higher than $50 and the certificate is valid for 60 days. it takes 3 days to process

  5. You can't get married at home in UK, it has to be in a public premises which anyone can get married at.  You can have a blessing if you want, just have witness at the registry office
