  1. Every piercing you get has a risk of getting infected. It just depends on how well you take care of it.

Mine got infected because I changed the jewelry too early, and I didn't clean the new jewelry very well before I put it in.

Just take care of it really well and be patient. They're a pain to take care of because they seem prone to getting infected easily. Two of my friends' belly button piercings got infected, as well as my mom's. My mom had to take hers out then get it repierced because it got so bad.

But like I said, it's only a matter of how well you take care of it. Clean it often, but not too often, and steer clear of things that'll irritate it, such as doing stomach exercises or sleeping on your stomach.

  2. If you do it, just watch that if you go in public pools your are likely to get an infection because of the bateria in pool from other people. Its a lot of work to keep it clean and well tooken care of, so if you think you can do it, go ahead.

  3. Go get it done take care of it.

Then if you do not like it to my understanding the close really quick.

  4. it's definitely a piercing you have to be completely committed to. since your stomach is the core of your body and you move a lot, it takes a very long time to heal (you're looking at between 6 months and a year before you can change your ring). it can very easily get infected. it MUST be cleaned often , but not too often. if you get it done , pay very close attention to it. i would VERY HIGHLY reccommend getting a SURGICAL STEEL hoop ring in while it heals.
