Im thinking of going to CSULA, are there things to do around that area?

I live really close to Cal State LA. There are lots of things nearby.

Pasadena is a short drive north of CSULA. There are lots of shops, restaurants and bars in Old Town Pasadena. I hang out there a lot.

Head south on the 710 to where it meets I5, and there's the Citadel, which is a pretty decent outlet mall. Good bargains.

The beach is on the other side of LA, but you can get on the 10, head west about 20 miles and you'll be right at the ocean. On weekdays, I can get from CSULA to Santa Monica in under half an hour.

Disneyland is about half an hour to 45 minutes south of CSULA. Just get on 710 south to I5 south.

Downtown LA (including swanky bars, Little Tokyo and Chinatown) is close, about 6 miles. Just go west on the 10, north on 101, exit around Alameda.

Hollywood is about 20 to 30 minutes north of CSULA. Go north on 101 and exit Sunset or Hollywood Blvd.
