  1. http://www.hslda.org/laws/default.asp

go here most state you have to do a letter of intent usually sent to superintendent of the local school district. Best of luck.

  2. You can go to pennywiselearning.com.  That's where my mom buys mine. (btw ace- accelerated christian education is probably the easiest way to go.)

  3. contact the state ed dept. where you live and see if there are any certified programs or teachers they can recommend...if you want to do it yourself you will, hopefully, have to get a certification to prove you are competent...

  4. What you need to do to legally homeschool depends on where you live.  If you live in the United States, you can start here:

    http://homeschooling.gomilpitas.com/dire...

There is a link to the homeschool laws for each of the states.

Everything varies, but commonly you have to notify the school system that you are withdrawing the child (in our state, this is called a Letter of Intent).

    Good luck with your adventure!

  5. You live in Louisiana right?

Here is a summary of the laws for that state:

    http://www.nhen.org/leginfo/detail.asp?S...

Or you can backtrack to find the state you need.

    The brief overview says:

"In Louisiana the options when deciding to homeschool include registering as a private school or pursuing state-approved home study. For state-approved home study, homeschoolers follow the guidelines of the Department of Education. To choose the private school option, parents register with the state of Louisiana as a private school by sending in an annual letter of intent indicating the number of children enrolled."

I would find homeschoolers in your area and talk to them for more info!  Good luck

  6. What state are you in? That would change who you need to contact.

If you are in La (as some one stated) then I can send you a copy of the letter we use every year to send in to the board of education. Email me. If you are home schooling under option 2 then all you have to do for the state is the letter.

Also we use Sonlight and love it! Their site is www.sonlight.com

  7. Go to your State Education Web site.  go to the Home schooled section and follow directions from there.  It will list Websites and other help aides that will direct you.  It will give you a description of the state requirements for the home schooled
