How about "deleted by a troll" Why is it people delete questions??? I can understand the obvious stuff, but sometimes I put such time into writing out a long answer and the I go back and Its been deleted. This was a GOOD question too. Can someone explain. So this is legit question What is everyones favorite all around bit to use when riding, or trail riding. I personally love a plain snaffle. Even my fully trained show horses and pleasure horses always ride in a snaffle except when showing, I love the ease and riding with 2 hands.

  1. I really love the french link D-ring snaffles! They're gentle on the horses' mouths.

Basically, bits are kind of important, but the much better thing to do for your horse is to have good hands. Good riders have good legs and good positions, but great riders have good hands, and horses perform best for riders with good hands.

  2. I agree. It's usually the question I spend like a half an hour researching and answering that gets deleted. It's really irritating. But, such is life. Hah.

My favorite bit to use isn't even a bit. I prefer hackamores. I used a basic mechanical hackamore on all of my horses. They really appreciated me not putting anything in their mouths.

    ^ hackamore I used

  3. I really like my wonder bit. You can make it work for any horse or any discipline. It's a snaffle mouth piece, kind of like a tom thumb.

It's a gag bit, so it can be really powerful if your horse misbehaves or pulls against you, but in general when riding, its not a mean bit. You can hook the reins to different parts of the bit too, to make it more like a regular snaffle, or to make it have some leverage. You can also buy different mouth pieces for more or less intensity.

I use it on my five year old who is very green, on my QH for drill and western riding, and on my TB for just messin around. I love it. :)

    Here's a pic of it:

  5. I saw this question and thought to myself, "Oh no! E has crossed over to the dark side!! Ahh!!" hehe

I know, it seriously stinks major booty when you put soooo much effort into writing out an answer and then some idiot troll who gets 'offended' by the question deletes it.

I also hate when an entertaining question gets deleted because some snob doesn't know how to chill out and have a little fun. Sure, this place is a place to share knowledge and learn, but why can't we have a little fun in-between?

But the MOST annoying thing are the 'stalker trolls' who follow certain individuals around just to thumb them down, report them and even go to the extent of sending inappropriate e-mails. I know a lot of us have had more then a few run-ins with those.

I know I know!! I completely went off topic! LOL

My favorite all-around bit is a full-cheek sweet iron snaffle.

  6. Haha! These titles are great at getting people to look at your question. I feel the same way. I find a good question and I really sink my spurs into it and dig in, and have what I feel is a good question then what happens when I get done???? The dang question is deleted. What I think happens is these people are point hogs and they don't want to loose 5 pts but want the advice.

Copper snaffles, sweet iron tom thumbs. Thats me.

Edit- I think I gots me some trolls too. I think any of us on here with an ounce of sense that God gave a turkey have our own troll.

  7. Whew! when I saw your avatar on this question  I thought this site had finally succeeded in driving you insane!

I must have missed whatever got deleted??

My full cheek snaffle is my bit....and my Dr. Cook is my bitless....I think I may have mentioned that here before though..................................... don't show anymore, so the curbs have long since been buried in my bins of "miscellaneous" tack/equipment.  And actually, my horses neck rein in the snaffle and the bitless.

ADD....so I guess nobody is gonna tell me what got deleted??

  8. im a big snaffle person too! I prefer Dee Rings or Eggbuts to loose rings though.

  9. Well...that 'title' is good way to get almost everyone to click on the question!

Like others...I'm like 'what in the world is she asking that for??'

It's a bummer to take the time to actually type out good and detailed advice...and then go to submit...and it's GONE!!

I think it's done by the temper tantrum throwing, I don't like anybody who points out my stupidity, I'm not smart enough to answer, multiple account holders, troll mongers.

    I like o ring snaffles...or...

    my mechanical hacks...

Horses are happy with them too.
