on the description it says "As an HDTV monitor, it is compatible with all 1080i and 720p signals from HDTV sources. Separate decoder is required" does this mean i will not be able to hookup my game consoles at 720p without buying some other piece of hardware? thanks in advance everyone

  1. No it just means that if some thing were to require a 720P hook up it will be compatible with it. 1080i is good for HDTV, and 1080P is great for DVI and VGA.

  2. You WILL be able to connect your game consoles DIRECTLY to the TV set without any special Decoders....

The Decoders they are talking about are the Cable or Satellite box decoders you need to convert their signals....

Games plug directly in with their cables to the TV.
