  1. Simple, honest, home cooked grub, reasonably priced and good portions.  Kiddys menu  or half portions for them, high chairs supplied.  Good waiting staff.

Worst experience would be - long waits,  cold restaurant, ignorant staff and microwavable or pre packed dishes  served.

  2. Good honest simple food at the right price with a few flash specials ...families cost money don't forget so it will be a treat  ...Nice surroundings not to plain furnishings as don't really want to feel like I'm in a school hall ...Great service even when busy ..clean cutlery and proper condiments not some vague tomato sauce .. (don't forget to get the right smell in the place ya don't want it stinking of cooked fish

Worst has to be a mixture of poor service with cold food or that's been reheated but still luke warm ...old chips ..rubbish veg ya know peas like bullets that are on there just to be so called pretty dirty tables or carpets...and not getting served at the bar .grrr !!

    So easy really ....Good luck

  3. good service plain and simple. the food can be phenomenal but if i have to wait excessively to be served or order im not coming back.

train your servers and pay them well.  there is also a fine line between a good server and an overbearing one.

  4. gotta have a Happy Hour with good, discounted appetizers and drink specials.

  5. the worse experience was when we went into a pub, and all they had were these fancy meals. i mean, if we wanted all these fancy foods, we would have gone to a posh restaurant, instead, we just wanted plain foods like fish and chips, steak and kidney pie and something for the younger ones.

a good family restaurant is one where you're not waiting ages for your food, where your food isn't burnt or under/over cooked when you get it, and where there is something for kids to do whilst waiting for the food, whether it be a playing area or just a colouring paper with crayons.

  6. UNRULY children

how about an area that is reserved for those without children.
